Year 4 have begun their “Angry Earth” topic. We are studying the causes and effects of earthquakes and volcanoes.
The children will be building their own volcanoes during forest schools as well as looking at the science behind eruptions and explosions.
Houses in areas prone to earthquakes need to be specially structured to limit damage and save lives. Year 4 will look at how animals build their own homes and adapt to their environments. We will do this on the 14th March during a fun and educational visit to Nell Bank in Ilkley. www.nellbank.com
As a special treat, we will also be attending a languages festival at Salts on Thursday 8th March. Exciting times ahead!
