Welcome to Glenaire Primary School

As you will know, we will be closed to most pupils from Monday. We are awaiting clarification of what the rules will be around the children of ‘key workers’ and once we are told, we will let parents know. Updates will replace this message or be added as news items. Please remember that the aim is to limit the number of children in school so that they are less likely to pass on Covid-19 to more vulnerable people. There are lots of things that are yet to be made clear to schools, but Mrs Wilkinson will focus today on finding the answers and sharing them with parents as soon as possible.

Thank you to all our school community for your support during this difficult and uncertain period.

Jo Wilkinson

A very warm welcome to Glenaire Primary School website.

Glenaire Primary School is a one-form entry community school in Baildon. Our motto ‘Learning Together, Growing Together’ reflects our belief in ensuring children achieve highly academically, whilst growing into rounded individuals. We constantly strive to raise standards, whilst taking pride in our reputation as a caring and inclusive school where we value the close community feeling of being one-form entry.

Children are at the heart of everything we do. We nurture them to become the very best that they can be. We work hard to instil a sense of pride and respect so that our children are well rounded citizens of the future. We want our pupils to achieve highly; to enjoy the challenge of understanding new ideas and acquiring new skills; to develop lively, enquiring minds and intellectual curiosity.

We have a highly committed, friendly staff who work together as a team and believe that education is a partnership with parents. In a locality rich with educational resources on our doorstep, our setting includes a large area of woodland, which we are developing into a wonderful resource for outdoor and nature learning.

We hope you find what you are looking for on our website. If you want to speak to one of the team in person, please telephone Mrs Barrow or Mrs Mackenzie in the office, who will be happy to help.  Alternatively, we pride ourselves on the warm welcome we extend to all visitors, so why not make an appointment to come along and experience this for yourself? We look forward to meeting you.
