App called “Boo”

It has been brought to our attention about an app called “Boo.”

The app is used to share and receive video and text messages as well as links to online content. Children can be friends with each other on the app, but also friends with others they are led to believe are children, but are potentially adults.

Users can also be sent links requesting them to join other groups. One of these groups is called ‘Fortnite’ – the children assume it is linked to an actual game ‘Fortnite’ however when children have gone into this group it has resulted in sharing of inappropriate material.
