We are working with our Education Social Worker (ESW) on a variety of ways to improve attendance and punctuality. If your child’s attendance is below expected levels, the Education Social Worker and our attendance team will contact you to discuss:

a monitoring period during which your child’s attendance must improve

a panel meeting - to discuss the reasons for poor attendance

a home visit, where a child is not in school
-
checks on punctuality
Attendance is a very important part of all children’s education: if they are not in school they miss out on their learning and progress suffers.
We aim to work with parents to improve attendance in a supportive way.
